Titan arum, one of the world's rarest flowers, bloomed at the University of Warsaw in Poland. It began the flowering process on August 5, marking only the second blooming in recent years. The titan arum uses inflorescence heating during its bloom. It reached 180 centimetres in height before the flower spread dramatically in the university greenhouses.
