President Droupadi Murmu on Friday gave her assent to Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025. The bill, which was passed by Rajya Sabha just a day before, has now become a law. Under the new law, online money gaming services have been banned with penalties of up to three years in prison and up to ₹1 crore fine.
