Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur shared that when his 1983 directorial debut 'Masoom' released, there were only two people in a theatre, including him. He added that the "vast emptiness" hit him like an "avalanche". Shekhar further said that theatres slowly started filling up, adding, "On Saturday, tickets were being sold in black by those that called Masoom an 'Article' film."
