In Assam, PM Narendra Modi urged people to buy swadeshi goods. "If you want to give a gift to someone, buy swadeshi gifts. Shopkeepers too should proudly put up a 'Swadeshi' board on their stores," he said. "My definition of swadeshi is that no matter which foreign company it is, its products should be made in India," PM Modi added.
