Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that only Turkey's full membership in the European Union could “save the EU from its deadlock". Urging the bloc to not continue with the same old mistakes, Erdogan further said swift results are within reach if the EU shows the political will. Turkey could provide a “lifeline” to the EU’s aging economy, he added.
