After Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army plans to procure 5,000 tethered surveillance drones for plains, deserts, and high-altitude terrains. Designed for persistent day-night monitoring, these drones can fly up to 100m tethered and 1km untethered, with nine hours endurance. Built under Make in India, they will enhance intelligence, surveillance, and counter electronic warfare capabilities.
