OpenAI has acquired product testing startup Statsig for $1.1 billion. Under the deal, it has appointed Statsig's Indian-origin CEO Vijaye Raji as the technology chief in its applications unit. Vijaye will head product engineering for ChatGPT and the company's coding agent, Codex. OpenAI's move comes a few months after it acquired former iPhone designer Jony Ive's startup for $6.5 billion.
