OpenAI announced the introduction of a 'lightweight' version of ChatGPT's deep research for its free users to increase the use of this technology. Deep research was previously limited to OpenAI's paid subscribers, but now its Plus, Team and Pro customers will have access to the lightweight version. This version will be powered by the o4-mini model with rate limits.
