OpenAI has suspended TikTok-parent ByteDance's account after it was accused of using the ChatGPT maker's technology to build a rival AI product. A report by The Verge claimed that ByteDance used OpenAI's API (application programming interface) to develop its own large language model, named Project Seed. "We have suspended their account while we investigate," OpenAI spokesperson Niko Felix said.
