OpenAI on Monday launched a new service called Instant Checkout, which allows users to make purchases through its artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, ChatGPT. The company said the service will be available to US-based users, enabling them to buy goods from Etsy's domestic sellers and some merchants on Shopify’s e-commerce platform. Currently, Instant Checkout will support single-item purchases.
