OpenAI has announced that it has made the new GPT-5 AI model more "warmer and friendlier" following the backlash from after its launch on August 7. The changes are "subtle" and while adding positive phrases, the model maintains its earlier personality without increased sycophancy. Users earlier gave the feedback that the new model lacks emotional intelligence, unlike its predecessors.
