Oracle will deploy 50,000 advanced GPUs from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in second half of 2026. This marks a major shift in the cloud industry as companies are increasingly looking at AMD's GPUs as an alternative to Nvidia's market-leading GPUs for AI. It'll use AMD’s Instinct MI450 chips, launched at an event that was attended by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
