A Science Advances study stated that continents are drying, having global impacts. It added that 75% of people live in 101 countries, which are losing freshwater since 2002. Researchers identified four mega-drying zones across the Northern Hemisphere. Meanwhile, only parts of East and Western Sub-Saharan Africa are getting wetter, creating an imbalance in the global water cycle, the study stated.
