Over 100 members of the Jain community forcefully opened a 'Kabutarkhana' (pigeon feeding place) in Mumbai's Dadar and offered grains to pigeons on Wednesday. People were protesting against the BMC's order for closure of all 'Kabutarkhana' in the city. This comes a day after Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis directed BMC to permit the feeding of pigeons in a controlled manner.
