Northern Railways’ Jammu Division recently took strict action against ticketless travellers. Officials confirmed that last month, the division penalised more than 11,000 passengers across different routes. Through these penalties, the division collected around ₹67 lakh in fines. They conducted surprise inspections, checked random trains and monitored stations more closely.
