BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari criticised Tamil Nadu's ruling DMK and said over 24 people have died in police custody since the party came into power in 2021. Sharing the list of these people, Bhandari wrote, "Young lives cut short by the very police meant to protect them." Ajith Kumar, a temple guard, allegedly died in police custody on June 28.
