Hyderabad's Cybercrime Branch arrested iBomma founder Immadi Ravi, who ran one of Telugu cinema's most popular piracy sites, and blocked ₹1.61 crore in related bank accounts, reported Moneycontrol. The authorities believed such sites not only streamed stolen content; but also acquired and used users' personal information. The syndicate is estimated to have cost Tollywood over ₹3,700 crore.
