Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said he was "pained beyond words by the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad" after a London-bound Air India flight with 242 people onboard crashed after takeoff from Ahmedabad. "Disaster response forces have been quickly rushed to the crash site," Shah said. He also spoke with Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel to assess the situation.
