The painted stork returned to Assam’s Kaziranga after nearly four years. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared a picture of the migratory bird, calling it an "old guest". "The elegant migratory Painted Storks (Mycteria leucocephala) have made a comeback to Kaziranga’s skies, soaring once again over our wetlands, a proof that nature heals when we protect it," he further wrote.
