Balochistan Assembly has passed Counter-Terrorism (Balochistan Amendment) Act 2025, which grants Pakistan's military and intelligence agencies the right to detain Baloch citizens for up to 90 days without charges. Authorities are allowed to detain them solely on suspicion. The law will also permit authorities to search, arrest and seize property of such individuals without prior judicial approval.
