Pakistan ranks with the highest inefficient agricultural water use, the World Bank's new "Continental Drying" report revealed. Inefficient irrigation and water-intensive crops are worsening freshwater losses, amounting to 324 billion cubic metres globally each year. The study warns that poor management and unsustainable farming are deepening water stress across arid regions.
