Pakistan has been elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council for the term 2026-28, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar announced. The country reportedly received an overwhelming majority of votes in the elections held on Tuesday. "Pakistan reiterates its commitment to work with the international community based on TRUCE: tolerance, respect, universality, consensus-building, and engagement," Dar said.
