Pakistan has brought in a Constitutional amendment that gives wider powers to its army chief General Asim Munir despite Pakistan's Operation Sindoor loss, reports said on Sunday. The Amendment creates a new position, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), and makes Army Chief the CDF. The CDF is reportedly empowered to appoint head of National Strategic Command in consultation with PM.
