Pakistan's national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) resumed operations in Europe on Friday with the maiden flight to Paris, ending a more than four-year ban by European Union's aviation agency over safety standards. The EU blocked PIA in 2020 after a flight crashed in Karachi, killing 97 people. Notably, several PIA pilots have been found to possess fake degrees.
