Pakistan has confirmed its 12th wild polio case this year, in a 33-month-old boy from Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The virus was detected in stool samples by NIH Islamabad. Six cases have been reported from the province in 2025. Officials urged parents to ensure multiple oral polio vaccine doses for children.
