Bollywood actor Palash Dutta, who came out as gay a few years ago, stated in an interview that if Karan Johar supports the LGBTQIA+ community, it will be helpful in legalising same-sex marriage in India. He said, "If Karan Johar speaks and supports the LGBTQIA community, it will really raise eyebrows and work towards the long-term rights for same-sex marriage."
