Late actor Pankaj Dheer, best known for playing the role of Karna in BR Chopra's 'Mahabharat', was initially offered the role of Arjun. Chopra asked Dheer to shave his moustache, which he refused, miffing the filmmaker. "Chopra sahab told me, 'Get out and don’t come back'," Dheer revealed once. He was later offered Karna's role in the series.
