India Test vice-captain Rishabh Pant has become the first visiting wicketkeeper-batter to reach 1,000 runs in Test cricket in England. He has now scored 1,018 runs in 24 innings, surpassing MS Dhoni who had hit 778 runs in 23 innings. Dhoni is followed by late Australia cricketer Rod Marsh (773 runs) and late South Africa cricketer John Waite (684 runs).
