Paramount, parent of CBS News, has agreed to pay $16 million to settle US President Donald Trump's lawsuit. Trump had filed lawsuit last year, alleging CBS edited an interview with then-VP and presidential candidate Kamala Harris on its "60 Minutes" news programme to favour the Democratic Party. "The settlement does not include a statement of apology or regret," Paramount said.
