The Supreme Court has ruled that senior citizens can evict adult children from their property if they fail to provide care. Under 2007 Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, tribunals can order eviction. The verdict came on plea by an elderly couple challenging Bombay High Court order that had rejected their eviction directive against their eldest son.
