Paris' The Louvre, the world's most-visited museum, remained shut on Monday after the staff protested deteriorating working conditions amid mass tourism. Thousands of visitors, who bought tickets to see iconic Mona Lisa painting, were left waiting outside. Gallery attendants, ticket agents and security personnel refused to take up their posts over unmanageable crowds and chronic understaffing.
