In Uttar Pradesh, Gonda SP Vineet Jaiswal launched a crackdown on the Pasi gang, deploying police and STF teams. Four members were arrested, while gang leaders Gyan Chand Pasi and Sonu Pasi, both with ₹1 lakh bounties, were killed in May encounters. Gyan Chand died after being injured on May 8. Police seized arms, including pistols, rifles, and cartridges.
