Indian Railways is testing a new system to finalise reservation charts 24 hours before departure, instead of the current four-hour window. Trials have begun in Rajasthan's Bikaner division. If successful, passengers will get early ticket confirmation, allowing time to cancel or rebook. The move is part of a wider digital upgrade aimed at improving efficiency and passenger convenience.
