A study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) shows that life expectancy is no longer rising as rapidly for people born between 1939 and 2000. Researchers predict these generations will not reach an average age of 100. The slowdown is linked to past surge being driven mainly by improved survival at very young ages.
