A man complained of a burning sensation in his eyes and a scratchy throat as AQI in Delhi neared 500 on Monday. AQI was recorded at 478 and 489 at RK Puram and Anand Vihar stations respectively. "This (air pollution) causes burning in the eyes, breathing difficulties, cough and cold," said another resident. People wore masks during their morning walk.
