The Organising Committee of the World Para Athletics Championships 2025 blamed people for feeding stray dogs near the venue after Kenyan sprint coach Dennis Mwanzo and a Japanese assistant coach, Mieko Okumatsu, were bitten by dogs in Delhi. "At a global event like the World Championships, such incidents are a big sign of worry," said Kenyan team doctor Michael Okaro.
