A video from Chhattisgarh has surfaced, showing an elderly woman weeping beside a freshly cut Peepal tree she had planted 20 years ago. As the video went viral on social media, the villagers and the local MLA, in an attempt to make up for her loss, handed her two new saplings as a mark of respect. She later planted them.
