Former UNSC President Kishore Mahbubani said the United Nations is "weak not by accident but by design". "The P5 have insisted that the UN Secretary General must be spineless. If you pick such, the UN will be weak," Mahbubani said at NDTV World Summit. The P5 are permanent UNSC members and include the US, the UK, China, Russia and France.
