Aravind Srinivas's Perplexity AI acquired the AI image and video generation platform Visual Electric, which will officially wind down its services over the next 90 days. Perplexity AI will team up with Visual Electric's founders and form a new "Agent Experiences" group at Perplexity. This move aims to rival OpenAI's video generation platform Sora and Google's Nano Banana.
