Reddit has filed a lawsuit against Perplexity in US for allegedly data scraping to train its AI system by circumventing the social media platform's data protection measures. Following this, the AI startup posted a statement on its subreddit, calling the lawsuit a "sad example of what happens when public data becomes a big part of a public company's business model".
