Arshad Madani, the president of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind confirmed filing a petition with the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting to ban the screening of 'Udaipur Files'. The petitioner claimed that the film would "promote communal tension in society" and "damage the country's image at the international level". He further added that a hearing is likely to be scheduled soon.
