First phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar's electoral rolls concluded on Saturday, with the draft voter list scheduled for release on August 1. Nearly 6.5 million names, or over 8% of Bihar's current electorate, might be excluded from the draft list due to death, duplication, migration, or non-submission of forms. Bihar previously had over 7.89 crore voters.
