On 5 June, the Philippines signed a US$700 million contract with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to acquire 12 additional FA-50PH light combat aircraft, with deliveries due by June 2030. These aircraft feature aerial refuelling, AESA radar, and enhanced strike capabilities. The Philippines currently operates 11 FA-50PHs. KAI has also secured deals with Poland, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
