PhonePe has launched the Udyam Assist Platform (UAP) to digitally onboard micro merchants and issue them business certificates. The initiative gives informal micro enterprises a formal identity, enabling access to loans, government schemes, and digital payments. As per reports, over 2.75 crore businesses have benefited, marking historic step in formalising India's MSME sector.
