The Supreme Court issued directives for civic authorities in Delhi and NCR on the stray dog menace. SC ordered authorities to pick up all stray dogs within eight weeks, put them in shelters and not release them again. "We aren't doing this for us; it is for the public interest...So, no sentiments of any nature should be involved," SC said.
