A large number of devotees were seen visiting temples in cities including Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Haridwar on the occasion of Maha Shivratri on Wednesday. In Varanasi, a gathering of saints was seen marching to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer prayers. Lakhs of people took holy dip at Sangam in Maha Kumbh and Ganga river in Haridwar.
