Atacama Desert in Chile, the world's driest desert, received snowfall after 10 years, the ALMA observatory said in a post on X. A climatologist from University of Santiago said that it was too soon to link the snow to climate change. The climatologist added that climate modelling had shown that "this type of event will likely become more frequent".
