Pilgrims on Thursday had the first-ever view of Kailash peak from Indian soil. The first batch of pilgrims travelled to Old Lipulekh pass situated in the Vyas valley of Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand to get the view. Earlier, pilgrims had to travel to Tibet Autonomous Region for a view of the peak. The trip was organised by Uttarakhand Tourism Department.
