A small private plane, which was carrying 6 people, crashed in the Pacific Ocean off California's San Diego. The twin-engine Cessna 414 crashed shortly after take off, the Federal Aviation Administration said. Just five minutes into the flight, the pilot issued a distress call and was reportedly heard saying, "Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!" in an air traffic control audio recording.
