India's Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for high-efficiency solar modules has generated nearly 43,000 jobs across nine states by October 2025, as per government data presented in Parliament. Of these, 11,220 are direct manufacturing jobs. Gujarat leads with over 22,400 positions. The ₹24,000 crore scheme aims to boost domestic solar production, reducing reliance on imports.
